SudoCube 2024, the first-ever Sudoku x Rubik’s cube event, is another exciting game Spark Education has for Singapore children!
After the roaring success of the Spark Sudoku Challenge 2023, we’re back to double the fun. This year’s SudoCube is brought to you by Spark Education and Mofunland. With prizes worth up to S$2000, this is a must-have activity for all smart kids this June holiday.
What is SudoCube 2024?
The SudoCube 2024 is a thrilling contest for kids ages 6-12. It blends Sudoku and Rubik’s Cube in a unique competition format. This event is the first of its kind in Singapore by Spark Education and Mofunland.
Competition details
- Date: 8 – 9 June 2024 (Saturday – Sunday)
- Time: 9:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Venue: Waterway Point Atrium (West Wing), 83 Punggol Central, Singapore 828761
- Eligibility: Children from 6 to 12 years old
- Format: Individual or Team competitions
All competitors will compete in both Sudoku and Rubik’s Cube. Starting with a 3×3 Sudoku puzzle then two 3×3 Rubik’s Cube puzzles.

Sudoku isn’t just a puzzle
Sudoku is a brain workout for kids to professors. It enhances logical thinking, memory, patience, and pattern recognition. Perfect for players of all ages to test their numeracy skills and win big!

- Logical Thinking: Kids exercise logic to place numbers in the grid, ensuring that each row, column, and box has all the numbers 1 to 9.

Rubik’s Cube isn’t just a toy
The Rubik’s Cube is a brain teaser for primary to university master’s students! It boosts spatial awareness, hand-eye coordination, and problem-solving. Build your child’s confidence as they twist and turn their way to victory!
The Rubik’s Cube is great for your child because:
- Spatial Awareness: Moving and turning the Cube helps kids understand 3D space relationships.
- Hand-eye Coordination: Twisting the Cube to align the colors fine-tunes their motor skills and coordination.
- Patience: Kids experiment with different cube-solving strategies and learn to adapt their methods.
What Pre-competition Training are provided?
Sudoku Crash Course
Curated by Spark Education’s experienced teachers, this 3-hour crash course helps beginners understand the rules and tricks to solve 9×9 sudoku puzzles:
- 2 × live lessons (1.5 hours each) online or offline
- 4 × A.I. lessons with unlimited access
- Handouts and practice exercises
Get both theory and hands-on experience to conquer any 9×9 sudoku puzzle with our experienced teachers! If you opt for offline sessions, you will be joining us at our Spark Education Learning Centre in i12 Katong.
Rubik’s Cube Enhancement Course
Provided by Mofunland instructors, this 3-hour course helps children master the tricks to solve a 3×3 Cube:
- 3 × live lessons (1 hour each) held offline
This enhancement course introduces how to solve a 3×3 cube quickly with class experience. The live lessons take place at Mofunland’s centre in Marine Square.
