Contests Held In July:
Thirteenth Annual Math League International Tournament/Camp
The Math League International Tournament/Camp is organized by the Math League. Since 2012, the Math League has been hosting a two-week summer tournament for students from China, Canada, the United States, and selected students from other countries. This event provides an opportunity for participants to interact with top students from around the world.
Suitable For: Grades 4 – 9
Eligibility Requirements:
- For G 4 or 5, a score of 26 or higher on Math League contests for those grade levels.
- For G 6, 7, and 8, a score of 30 or higher on Math League contests for those grade levels or a score of 26 or higher on the Algebra 1 contest.
- For G 9, a cumulative score of 30 or higher on Math League six high school contests or a score of 26 or higher on the Algebra 1 contest.
- Students may use their scores from previous school years to qualify for the summer program.

International Junior Math Olympiad (IJMO)
The International Junior Math Olympiad (IJMO) is Singapore’s premier math competition and one of the most prestigious math competitions worldwide. It aims to provide a global platform for students to interact and compete against strong opponents. IJMO serves as an ideal platform to showcase every student’s potential and talent in math.
Suitable For: Grades 2 – 9
Eligibility:
• Gold or Silver award winners for AMO 2023, SMKC 2024 (Singapore Candidates only), SASMO 2024, and SIMOC 2024 from each country are selected annually to represent their country.
• Bronze award winners for the above competitions can also participate in IJMO with compulsory training from either our country partners or SIMCC.

National Math Olympiad of Singapore (NMO∑)
The National Math Olympiad of Singapore (NMO∑) is organized annually by NUS High School of Mathematics and Science. The competition began in 2006 to challenge students’ mathematical potential. It is open to all primary school students who have not reached primary 6 level. The competition’s difficulty level is aimed at primary 5 students.
Suitable For: Open to Primary 5 Students only in 2024
Eligibility:
NMOS is open to all students in Singapore (including international schools). The only caveat is that students will have to be registered by their primary schools and individual registrations are not allowed.

The Australian Intermediate Mathematics Olympiad (AIMO) is organized by the Australian Math Trust (AMT) and is a highly challenging math competition aimed at identifying and challenging talented students. The AIMO paper is designed for Year 10 level students but may also be of interest to motivated and talented students in years 7 to 9 who are looking to pursue mathematics at an Olympiad level.
Suitable For: Grades 7 – 10
Eligibility:
AIMO may be suitable for students who have:
- an interest and aptitude for more complex mathematical problem-solving;
- completed later stages of the AMT’s Maths Enrichment program;
- scored very highly in the Australian Mathematics Competition;
- undertaken substantial extension work outside of the curriculum.

10 questions, 8 requiring an integer answer, 2 requiring written solutions which may include proofs.
